Dr. Peggy Manville is an experienced leader with over 25 years in public education. Dr. Manville begins her first year as the Superintendent of New Lenox School District 122, after serving as assistant and then associate superintendent for the last 12 years.
A native of Will County, Dr. Manville began her career at St. Jude School in Joliet, followed by 16 years in Evergreen Park School District 124. During that time, Dr. Manville served in many roles, including a junior high language arts teacher, a gifted education facilitator, a curriculum director and assistant superintendent for personnel and curriculum.
Dr. Manville is a graduate of the University of St. Francis, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. She also earned her State of Illinois Teaching certificate at St. Francis, with endorsements in English, language arts, and music. She earned a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University and acquired her Type 75 Administrative Certificate through Chicago State University. In 2004, Dr. Manville received her State of Illinois superintendent’s credential and Doctor of Education in Educational Administration from Aurora University.
Dr. Manville is married for 27 years to Anthony, principal of Plainfield East High School. In addition, she has two children, ages 25 and 22, who both attended New Lenox School District 122.
