Project Calendar

Sept. - Pantomime - Students will perform a pantomime focusing on an "everyday" activity. The goals include offering real reactions and emotions, and making their pantomimes realistic, using correct dimensions for objects, and attention to details. This activity helps them to become more aware of their bodies and facial expressions in relationship to effective performance. 

Sept. / Oct. - Story-telling - emphasizing development of vocal elements
           Oct. 12th - Storytime! 8:45am, Martino Stage

Oct. / Nov. - Blocking - emphasizing movement on the stage

Nov. / Dec. - Monologues - utilizing vocal elements and physical elements

Dec. / Jan. - Duets - further honing vocal and physical elements and stage movement, along with working closely with another actor

Jan. / Feb. - Stagecraft - understanding the other elements of a production besides the performance, including set, lights, costumes, props, and make-up

Feb. / March - "Playwright - ing" - writing an original dramatic script

April / May - Putting it all together - small groups produce their own show

Storybooks must be in class Tuesday, Sept. 27th, presentations begin Thurs. Sept 29th

Story time permission slip/guest list due Oct. 7th
