Advanced Art is an elective class for 8th grade students who have successfully completed Introduction to Art. Students will use the knowledge and skills from the previous year to further strengthen their ability to problem solve and execute a work of art. Many lessons are open ended, allowing students to make individual choices regarding media and content. Students are expected to keep a weekly sketchbook.
Advanced Art is required to submit finished project to the appropriate bin in the classroom as well as through the E-Portfolio and digitally on our school's Artsonia page. All projects are due at the end of each trimester.

You will be finding a work of art for your research project during our visit. The work of art must be from the Modern or Contemporary genre.
