Ms. Lehrer ...
I was born and raised in the Chicago area. After graduating college, I completed my student-teaching at Oakview Junior High. I spent my first year teaching in Galesburg, IL. However, I missed the big city and came home. I have spent the remainder of my career in New Lenox when I was hired to teach at Martino, but I moved over to Liberty once it opened. I am lucky to have spent my 22 years in NLSD 122!

Favorite Thing About Teaching:
The best part about teaching is watching a student's AHA, or eureka moment. It's so great to see the joy of learning on my students' faces.
Of course, I love to read. I live in Chicago, so I enjoy visiting all of the different neighborhoods around the city. I also love trying new restaurants, attending theater productions, and visiting museums.
I can't list just one. My favorite writers/poets are Edgar Allan Poe, Ray Bradbury, Laurie Halse Anderson, Lois Lowry, Sharon Draper, Langston Hughes, Dante Alighieri, Rick Yancey, Christopher Pike, Shakespeare, I could go on...
