As a child, I was very inspired by my elementary Art teacher. My parents encouraged me to explore my Art in college. I soon realized I wanted to share this passion so I decided to become an Art teacher. I love to learn about all facets of art: art history, cultural art, artists, a variety of media, and techniques. Sharing this passion with the students is exciting as they take the information and make it their own. It is rewarding when the students begin to make connections to the world around them and realize how art is a part of everyday life. My students inspire me on a daily basis!
Favorite Thing About Teaching:
My favorite thing about teaching is facilitating the creation of Art with the children and helping them get in touch with their own creativity.
