I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education from Illinois State University. I received my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from National-Louis University.
Favorite Thing About Teaching:
I have been in first grade for 28 of the 32 years I have been a teacher. My favorite thing about teaching first grade is the awesome changes and growth that I see in my students from September to June. It is so fun to see each one of them grow in reading and math. My greatest hope is that each one of my students will acquire a love for reading! Each day we laugh and have so much fun together.
I love to travel, take walks and read in my spare time.
I have a wonderful family! My husband is a teacher, also. My daughter, Caitlin, has just graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
My favorite children's book is The Mitten, by Jan Brett.
