Hi! I'm Mrs. Carly Mitrovic. I teach special education at Nelson Prairie. I spent the last three years at home raising my two beautiful children, Emmet and Hayden. I have a wonderful husband, Mark, and two fun dogs, Nellie and Rosie! Even though this is my first year teaching in New Lenox, it is my seventh year as a teacher. I'm very excited to come back to the classroom and spend my days helping kids make progress and learn fun and exciting content! I also grew up in New Lenox so it has been great to be back and see the schools from a different point of view! I consider it an honor to work at Nelson Prairie and look forward to this school year!
I have been a special education teacher for seven years with experience in early childhood and elementary resource. The last three years I have spent raising my children at home. I am very excited to be back in the classroom!
Eastern Illinois University with a degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education. I received an ELL certificate from Erikson Institute in Chicago, IL.
I enjoy spending time at my family's lakehouse in Quincy, MI! My kids and dogs love swimming at the beach while my husband and I go tubing, kayaking, and snowboarding in the winter!
