I am a licensed school psychologist whom has worked for NLSD 122 for four years. I received my undergraduate degree in Psychology (B.S.) from Saint Joseph's College in 2011. Immediately following college, I went to the Chicago School of Professional Psychology (TCS) for my Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in School Psychology. I returned to TCS for my doctoral degree and graduated with a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in School Psychology (concentration in School Neuropsychology) in March 2016. The focus of my doctoral dissertation was biofeedback for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders. I am currently completing my post-doctoral hours under the supervision of a clinical psychologist. My goal is to have dual licensure in school and clinical psychology within the next few years.
This is my fourth year working in NLSD 122. I have thoroughly enjoyed working with students, families, and amazing colleagues throughout the district. In my current role, I work as a school psychologist at Nelson Prairie and Nelson Ridge Schools. Some of my job duties include: conducting classroom observations, consulting with teachers regarding academic and behavioral interventions, providing in-services to staff members on various topics, and conducting evaluations for special education.
I love to run, cook, and read books.
I have two dogs: Olive and Doug.
I used to drive big yellow speed boats for a living.
My favorite color is green.
