Anxiety refers to constant and persistent worry. Some children may meet the criteria for an anxiety disorder if their everyday functioning is significantly impacted. However, many children present with symptoms of anxiety, which can appear in many forms. For example, some children have difficulty separating from parents or have specific fears or phobias. Additionally, some children feel afraid of coming to school, which can significantly impact their educational performance.
