Welcome to 5th grade at Nelson Ridge School. This is my 12th year in the district, and my second year at Nelson Ridge.
I teach what I love- reading and language arts. I have an undergraduate degree from Illinois State University in Elementary Education and a Master's degree from Governors State University in Education Administration. These degrees, coupled with my 13 years of being a mom, help shape my teaching style and attitude towards teaching and learning. I am excited and motivated to give each day my best effort, and I truly love what I do.

I am happily married for 16 years, and have three awesome kids & the best dog ever.
Started working at NLSD:
My first year of teaching was in 1998. I taught for ten years, stayed home for seven, and returned in 2015. I've taught at Caroline Bentley, Spencer Crossing & now at Nelson Ridge.
Proud graduate of Lincoln-Way Central High School, Illinois State University and Governors State University.
Favorite Thing About Teaching:
My favorite thing about teaching is that I get to be a teacher and a student. I learn so much from my classes each year.
