About Me

    Welcome to my page!  My name is Mike DeGroot.  I am a longtime resident of   New Lenox and a graduate of both NLSD 122 and Lincoln Way Community High School District 210. I attended Lewis University where I earned a bachelor's degree in special education.  I also earned a master's degree from Olivet Nazarene University. I work with 5th and 6th grade students at Oster-Oakview School.  I have been married to Stacey for 24 years, and we have two boys.  Michael is 19 years old and he is a graduate of NLSD 122 and LWCHS.  He is currently a sophomore at the University of Louisville majoring in electrical engineering.  Mitchell is 13 years old and is in eighth grade at Martino Junior High School.
