Hi! My name is Cheryl Martino and I would like to share a little about my life with you. I was born and raised in the Beverly area in a large Irish family. I am a graduate of Southern Illinois University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education with a Special Education endorsement. After graduation, I continued my studies at Saint Xavier University. I have been teaching early childhood education for twenty five years. I began working for New Lenox District 122 seventeen years ago. I have worked with young children most of my life, and I truly love working with the kindergarteners! I feel since this is their first time in a school setting it is extremely important that they have a positive school experience. I try to instill the love of learning in all my students by making school a fun, exciting place to be!
25 years total, 17 for New Lenox School District 122
I am married with three wonderful children and a crazy Chocolate Lab. The two boys, Kyle and Brett, are college graduates and working in the 'real world.' My only girl, Jenna, is attending Saint Xavier University working on her bachelors in Communication Disorders. She will be graduating this year:) My Chocolate Lab, Kali, is two years old and loves to eat shoes:)
